Permanent exhibition of aerospace cultural heritage, a study collection of the faculty of Aerospace Engineering, one of the oldest collections at TU Delft. Part of the project was a renovation of the basement and a new, modern and engaging presentation of the collection, inspired by designs made by TU Delft students who participated in the Spaces of Display minor of the faculty of Architecture.
The basement has been fitted with lighting gifted by Museum Prinsenhof in Delft who will be replacing their own system with a new one after renovation. Beersnielsen ‘mined’ tracks and fixtures from Prinsenhof, just after closing for an extensive renovation, to give these lighting products a second life. The basement is now a much more accessible and friendly space for teaching and independent study.
