Lighting guerilla Prinsenhof, Delft

As part of the elective ‘Lighting design’ at the TU Delft Industrial Design faculty, Beersnielsen hosted a guerilla to get students familiar with light in a context and the practical basics of lighting design. A lighting Guerrilla is a fast temporary lighting intervention to test, play with and reveal different lighting conditions on a particular site by using mobile light sources. This edition evolved around the upcoming exhibition of Jan Schoonhoven in September. This Dutch artist was known for minimal art consisting of geometrical structures, rhythm, repetition, light and shadow. The students were encouraged to keep some of his working principles in mind and apply it to the area around the Prinsenhof along with simple props.
