The Zwartjanstraat en the Noordmolenstraat are famous shopping streets in the north of Rotterdam. These streets used to be the ‘lichtjesstraat van Rotterdam’. Nowadays the range of shops have changed and the streets need a new identity. Together with illustrator Jessica Nielsen and the local shopkeeper association, Beersnielsen is working on a plan to integrate identity and light.
For now, Christmas and Christmas decoration first, and in the new year … bright new lights in these ‘lichtjesstraten’. The local newspaper, The Havenloods, is looking forward to it as much as we are!
