Situated at a regular business park it was important that the architecture and the lighting design for the Big Green Egg office building was inviting and embracing. The building has been designed as a spiral around an atrium. The entrance and public areas are open, transparent and inviting, when the spiral curls towards the offices the material and lighting design become more businesslike.

Since we have been engaged in the project from an early stage, many details could be perfected in close cooperation with the architect. For example the fixtures in the wooden ceiling match exactly the width of the boards. The lighting line from outside in the atrium has been integrated by the architect, so the led line seamlessly connects outside and inside.

Another aspect of the lighting design is that we used  graze lighting to highlight the beautiful structure of the concrete walls. By using warm and contrasting light a luxurious and inviting atmosphere has been created in the public areas.
