Three old water treatment silos will be converted and expanded. Each silo has it’s own function; sports and games, meeting – with a brewery and a restaurant – and the middle one will be for cultural events.
At the roof of the robust concrete silos, wooden top ups will be build as icons of the Zeeburger neighbourhood.
TANK asked Beersnielsen for a lighting design for these huge objects. Making the concrete colossus accessible and inviting and the top ups visible in the city. The surroundings will also be lighted, so the silos will be more grounded. For example the height of the masts will be attuned to the ground floor.
The lighting design should meet the BREEAM criteria.
